Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum

The Museum began its life in the Market House, Salisbury and from 1864 to 1981 was housed in St Ann Street. Since then it moved to its current home at the King’s House.

Its archaeological collections are designated as being of national importance and its extensive collections focus upon the history and archaeology of Salisbury and south Wiltshire. Other collections include works of art, ceramics, costume and social history. The Museum also houses the Pitt Rivers collection.

Opening
Monday to Saturday - 10am to 5pm
Sundays in July and August - 2pm to 5pm
Christmas closing 24th December - 1st January
