The Ashton Court Estate has been owned by Bristol Council since the 1950’s, with the estate now a major recreational area for Bristol. The estate today is about 850 acres of woodland and meadows with free entry and usually free parking.
The vast grounds are a mixture of ancient woodland and its natural wildlife.
Ashton Court grounds include woodland, deer parks and wildlife, there are cycle tracks a miniature railway, golf and other activities.
Ashton Court is also the venue for The International Balloon Fiesta and the International Kite Festival and the Balloon Fiesta.
Whatever your preference Ashton Court Estate is well worth a visit.
The Estate grounds offer visitors a wide variety of activities
including Deer Feeding Walks, Golf: Pitch and Put, and
Mountain Biking Trails
The gardens are open to the public and include a ha-ha with a view looking
down over smyth field, the renewed in 2006 rose garden and of course the
towering Giant Sequoia’s and their squirrels.
