Welcome to Chepstow Racecourse, home of Wales’ most prestigious race meeting, the Coral Welsh Grand National. With 32 meetings annually, both flat and jump racing, you can be sure there will be a fixture to suit you, your friends and family.

Chepstow Racecourse opened its gates in the early 1920’s and has since blossomed into a bustling track that is home to the Welsh Grand National. From just a pretty park, this venue is now home to racing fixtures and music events throughout the year, as well as being available to hire for weddings, conferences and events.

A historic part of the races is the betting that comes with it. So if you wish to take part in this time honoured tradition, you can do so at different facilities over Chepstow Racecourse. If you’re trackside you will see bookies in the area in front of the grandstand. There are also several betting points within the stands and a table side betting service in hospitality.

Chepstow Racecourse has different levels of dress code depending on your ticket type and enclosure. With some places adopting a more relaxed dress code where fancy dress is allowed, and other places following a strict smart-casual approach.

 

 

 

 

Chepstow Racecourse has been the proud home of The Coral Welsh Grand National since 1949. Held in December each year between Christmas and New Year, it draws in huge crowds to see who will win this coveted title.

We love live music, and try to incorporate it in to several of our race days. We’re also honoured each year to host some big name acts so you can enjoy the outdoor festival feel here at the racecourse.

Our newly refurbished 1926 Bar is located on the ground floor of the Premier grandstand, right next to the Parade Ring and offers a wide selection of drinks as well as bar snacks and informal seating.

Our brand new Gin & Fizz Lounge is an exclusive bar on the first floor of our Premier Grandstand, offering a fantastic selection of gins, champagne and prosecco overlooking all the racing action.

Ideally located on the A466 Chepstow to Monmouth, not far from the Severn Bridge from the M4 East (junction 21) or the M4 West (junction 23).
